At DemosAU, we believe that rigorous and transparent political polling is part of modern democracy.
Our regular state polling program is unique in Australia: We’re the only pollster providing regular, dedicated public polling of every Australian date.
That means, every quarter, we will poll at least 1000 respondents in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania. We will provide both state and federal voting intention insights, while also probing issues of significance in each jurisdiction.

DemosAU is a proud member of the Australian Polling Council (APC), which sets rigorous standards for transparency and methodological integrity in public opinion research. As an APC member, we are required to publicly release detailed methodology statements for all publicly reported polls.
This commitment ensures that academics, journalists, and independent experts can scrutinise our work, verifying how our data is collected, weighted, and interpreted. It’s an essential safeguard for public trust, and a cornerstone of our belief in open, evidence-based discourse.

To enhance our polling expertise, we partner, where possible, with local strategic advisory firms when conducting polling. Currently, our expert local partners include PremierNational in Queensland, NSW and Victoria, and Ace Strategies in South Australia.
These firms have a deep understanding of the political context in these states and these partnerships help us to identify key issues, understand local context and provide deeper insights.
