DemosAU has today launched a new podcast in partnership with Amplieo Podcast Network.

Co-hosted by Evan Schwarten and George Hasanakos and produced by Amplieo, In the Know bring audiences in-depth discussions on politics, elections, polling and public opinion.

The podcast will be produced on a regular basis, bringing audiences up-to-date on political trends and public sentiment, without the sensationalism or outrage often seen in public discourse.

DemosAU founder and host Evan Schwarten said the podcast would be a source of smart, balanced conversation.

“Reading trends is what we do best at DemosAU and we’re very keen to bring those insights to new audiences,” Mr Schwarten said.

“Our podcast is aimed at Australia’s political and policy minds and for anyone else interested in understanding where the country is heading,” Mr Schwarten said. 

“We also understand that podcasts are a fast-growing form of new media communication and we want to reach a wider audience.”

DemosAU Head of Research George Hasanakos is the podcast’s co-host, known as the ‘numbers man.”

“This podcast is about cutting through the noise to give audiences a more in-depth discussion of what’s actually happening in Australian politics and public opinion, with the conversation based on real, raw data, not speculation,” Mr Hasanakos said.

“More and more these days it’s important to offer calm, in-depth political analysis based on the evidence, and that is what I aim to bring to this podcast.”

The first episode, which discusses the South Australian election, is out today on platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Youtube.
